Soft-Infrastructure
Create a K-12 CODING/SOFTWARE ENGINEERING program. From the very beginner to the most advanced. This is crucial, crucial, crucial. It's the most well-known, well-trodden, most respected thing we can do: set kids up for careers in computer science/ data science, etc..
I'm going to be using this term more. We've said that we need to build a "mental lab" first. This was a good temporary placeholder, before we had time to think things through. Now, I think a better metaphor arises. That of the computer. So essentially, we're taking the agile, tech-startup approach here. We're building software first: AerieX, Collaboration, whatever. All of this runs just fine on the "operating system" that is Wheeler. It's built into the schedule. It's an "app". Great. We are also working to build the hardware that will further facilitate this lab. In the future, our software will RUN ON our hardware.
